Born in Rome, Stefano Rinaldi Miliani studied at the “Santa Cecilia”
Conservatory in Rome, furthering his training with Sesto Bruscantini.
After his experience in the chorus of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, he
won the Belli Competition in Spoleto and the Verdi Competition in Parma,
launching a successful career as a bass in major Italian and international
opera houses, including La Scala, La Fenice, San Carlo, Covent Garden,
Deutsche Oper, Opéra du Rhin, Teatro Colón, and Suntory Hall. He has
worked with conductors such as Bonynge, Oren, Spivakov, Brüggen, Gelmetti,
and with stage directors including Zeffirelli, Fo, Pizzi, and Vick. His
repertoire includes over 130 roles. He has recorded for BMG Ricordi,
Capriccio, and other labels. Since 2019, he has been a regular guest at
the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona. He teaches opera singing at the “G.
Paisiello” State Conservatory in Taranto.
